About
The 20th century saw vast construction and urbanisation campaigns in Estonia, driven by rapid industrialisation and controlled movement under Soviet occupation. Many of these sites have fallen out of use and into disrepair since regaining independence, as new population patterns and aesthetic preferences have seemingly rendered them obsolete. The project would analyse pathways to regenerate and valorise underutilised 20th century building stock across a range of cultural contexts.
