NEB-2026-01-PARTICIPATION-02 | Visual Artist & Circular Public Art Partner
Visual Artist & Founder — Scoobafish / Urban Pixel at Scoobafish
Italy
About
Scoobafish is an Italian visual art studio led by contemporary artist Maurizio Sergiusti. We are looking to join a consortium for HORIZON-NEB-2026-01-PARTICIPATION-02 as an artistic and creative partner.
We offer Urban Pixel, a public-art methodology that transforms authentic discarded urban materials — particularly decommissioned road signs — into large-scale temporary and reversible site-specific installations.
Our contribution can support experimental approaches to public-space perception through:
• circular reuse of discarded urban materials
• large-scale visual interventions in public space
• artistic interpretation of environmental and social themes
• placemaking and local identity
• public engagement and environmental awareness
• strong visual and audiovisual communication of demonstrator activities
The methodology has already been tested through physical installations using authentic recovered road signs and is being developed for larger-scale interventions in natural and urban environments.
We are not seeking to coordinate a proposal. We are interested in joining an existing or developing consortium where an artistic / cultural and creative partner can contribute to a neighbourhood demonstrator, co-creation process or public-space experimentation.
Based in Sardinia, Italy, Scoobafish can also contribute a Mediterranean and island perspective to European experimentation around sustainable and inclusive public spaces.
