Scoobafish is an Italian visual art studio founded by contemporary artist Maurizio Sergiusti, developing sculptures, installations and public-space projects through the creative reuse of discarded materials.
Its practice explores the intersection of contemporary visual art, circularity, environmental awareness and public engagement. Recovered road signs, marine plastics and found objects are transformed into artworks and large-scale installations while preserving their material history.
Urban Pixel is Scoobafish’s public-art methodology based on the temporary and reversible reuse of authentic discarded road signs. The materials become modular visual elements for site-specific installations designed to create a strong relationship between public space, environmental themes, local identity and visual perception.
Scoobafish is interested in contributing to European consortia as an artistic and creative partner, particularly in projects involving sustainable public space, circular use of materials, placemaking, community engagement and experimental cultural approaches to the green transition.
