About

Seeking cooperation with consortia preparing proposals for HORIZON-NEB-2026-01-REGEN-01 and REGEN-02.

Dr. Mishel Dib, PhD, is an architect and senior building/infrastructure expert combining research expertise with practical implementation experience in building energy performance, passive and bioclimatic design, building climatology, energy efficiency, sustainable renovation and building-envelope systems.

His completed PhD research at Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture (KNUCA) addressed the fundamental typology design of Passive House and energy-efficient dwellings across five climatic zones of Ukraine, integrating climatic, technical, environmental, economic, architectural and socio-cultural parameters. His research background also covers building physics, climatic zoning, thermal performance, Passive House/NZEB principles, energy-efficient reconstruction and Ukrainian building standards.

Professional experience includes EU-, KfW- and internationally financed programmes involving energy-efficiency assessment and rehabilitation/modernisation of public and social buildings, including schools, kindergartens, healthcare facilities, VET facilities, dormitories, senior/social housing and residential buildings.

Current building-envelope experience through Alufab Aluminium & Glass Company L.L.C. includes architectural façades, curtain walls, aluminium and glazing systems, cladding, solar shading/louvers, sustainable construction, design coordination, fabrication and installation.

Potential contribution to REGEN-01/02 consortia:

  • building-performance and thermal-comfort assessment;

  • passive/bioclimatic design and climatic adaptation;

  • building physics and envelope-performance expertise;

  • energy-efficiency assessment and sustainable renovation;

  • LCC and techno-economic assessment;

  • architectural integration and constructability of innovative envelope solutions;

  • demonstration monitoring and performance evaluation;

  • public/social-building renovation and reconstruction;

  • replication across different climatic conditions; and

  • Ukraine reconstruction, demonstration/replication and knowledge-transfer perspectives.

Interested in joining an existing consortium as a technical/research and implementation partner or senior expert, particularly for work packages related to building performance, thermal comfort, sustainable renovation, demonstration and replication.
