About
The Museum of Walloon Life is in a listed architectural complex in the historic centre of Liège. The building’s heritage features impose significant constraints on any work carried out on the structure. The current heating and air-conditioning systems are suffering from major faults. Urgent need for energy-efficient solutions compatible with heritage preservation to ensure the building’s thermal comfort. This current redesigning of its permanent exhibition follow the sustainability and circularity principles. It is a good opportunity to achieve solutions combining thermal comfort, energy efficiency, heritage constraints and aesthetic integration within a dense urban context. A proactive maintenance planning and the extension of equipment lifesplans are also expected.
