About
T3LAB is currently looking to join consortia under development for the HORIZON-MISS-2026-03-OCEAN topics (Restore our Ocean and Waters). We are particularly interested in projects addressing marine habitat mapping and monitoring, pollution and biodiversity-loss assessment, and the development of data-driven digital infrastructures for ocean monitoring and management.
With a pragmatic, engineering-driven approach and a team of around 10 engineers and researchers, T3LAB has consolidated expertise in applied AI and computer vision and brings hands-on experience in marine monitoring through STREAM-ER, a regional EU-funded initiative focused on advanced technologies for the monitoring and sustainable management of marine habitats and maritime infrastructures. In STREAM-ER, we contributed to the development and system integration of solutions based on an underwater drone platform (“Blucy”), featuring a modular hardware/software architecture that enables flexible integration of mission-specific sensors and payloads.
Within HORIZON-MISS-2026-03-OCEAN projects, T3LAB can support the consortium as a technical partner by providing:
-
Computer Vision & AI for underwater inspection and habitat monitoring, including detection/segmentation, condition assessment and video analytics
-
End-to-end AI/ML pipelines, from dataset preparation to model training/fine-tuning, evaluation and trustworthy deployment
-
Edge AI implementation on embedded platforms, enabling real-time inference on robotic systems
-
Software architecture and integration, including APIs, cloud-edge platforms and MLOps workflows
-
Demonstrators and field validation, covering mission planning, data collection, system integration and real-environment testing
Unique asset – Underwater drone availability: T3LAB also has access to an underwater drone, allowing direct support to field data acquisition, real-world demonstrator activities and validation campaigns (e.g., inspection missions, seabed/habitat monitoring and infrastructure assessment).
