Knowledge transfer and exchange partner

Research and Project Manager at European Association for Palliative Care

Brussels, Belgium

About

The European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) brings unique added value to EU-funded project consortia as a highly credible knowledge transfer and exchange partner with more than 35 years of experience at the interface of research, policy, and practice. Established in 1988 and recognised by the Council of Europe, EAPC is the authoritative pan-European voice for palliative care, uniting diverse professional, clinical, research, education, and advocacy communities around a shared WHO-aligned vision.

EAPC has a proven capacity to translate complex research findings into meaningful, practice-relevant knowledge that reaches those who can implement change. Through its extensive membership network spanning countries, disciplines, and care settings, EAPC ensures wide dissemination, strong stakeholder engagement, and uptake of project outcomes by clinicians, educators, policymakers, and patient communities. Its deep clinical expertise and understanding of cultural and political diversity across Europe enable research outputs to be contextualised and applied effectively in real-world settings.

As a trusted partner in EU research dissemination and communication, EAPC strengthens scientific relevance and maximises impact by aligning project results with the Cancer Mission priorities and policy. Its proactive role in shaping and informing EU health and research policy ensures that consortium outputs extend beyond academia to influence standards, guidance, and systems of care. Inviting EAPC into a consortium therefore significantly enhances visibility, credibility, and long-term impact of research, ensuring that innovation in palliative care translates into tangible benefits for people living with advanced cancer, families, and health systems across Europe.
