About

Asociación Amicos is a non-profit organisation based in Galicia, Spain, working with people with intellectual disabilities and their families. Since 2000, Amicos has promoted social inclusion, equal citizenship, personal autonomy, and community participation, supporting people with intellectual disabilities in developing their own life projects.

For Horizon Europe Cluster 2, Amicos is interested in joining consortia addressing topics related to citizenship education, lifelong learning, digitalAsociación Amicos – Expertise in inclusion, citizenship and lifelong learning for Cluster 2 and media literacy, basic skills, social inclusion, and democratic participation. Our profile is particularly relevant for calls linked to citizenship education as part of lifelong learning, digital and media literacy for democratic resilience, and wider research and innovation actions aimed at strengthening Europe’s social model through inclusion, skills development, and participation.

Amicos brings strong field-based experience in inclusive social innovation, community-based approaches, and participatory methodologies involving people with intellectual disabilities as active contributors rather than passive beneficiaries. This enables the organisation to contribute to user-centred research, pilot actions, stakeholder engagement, co-creation processes, and the testing of inclusive educational and civic participation models.
