About

AMICOS.ORG is a nonprofit organization based in rural Galicia, a region where fishing, aquaculture, and coastal activities are vital to local communities. The foundation is dedicated to promoting the social and economic inclusion of individuals with intellectual disabilities by integrating them into environmental and marine restoration initiatives.

Through strong collaborations with local, regional, national, and international stakeholders, AMICOS.ORG develops and implements projects that restore marine and coastal ecosystems, enhance biodiversity, and foster sustainable fisheries. By aligning conservation efforts with social equity and economic resilience, the organization contributes to a just transition that empowers vulnerable groups while protecting natural resources.
