Looking for consortia to join as partners.

Energy Cities Romania (OER) is an NGO of 30 local authorities focused on energy efficiency within the public services, renewable energy sources and urban sustainable mobility, aiming to lead the energy transition and reach climate neutrality. OER’s main purpose is to empower local administrations in defining and implementing local effective energy policies, to facilitate the dialogue between local and national authorities, and to lead the way towards low emissions in local communities. We develop and implement national and European projects (over 20 years of organizational experience); we transfer know-how between local authorities and represent them in relation to national authorities; we organize training programs to increase the relevant expertise of local authorities and support the Covenant of Mayors initiative in Romania (since 2009); we support local authorities in implementing efficient energy and climate policies and we involve members in national and European actions, projects and initiatives. Main activities: participation in regional, national and European projects; organisation of conferences, workshops and round tables at local and national levels; training of local authority representatives in the field of Energy and Climate; dissemination of best practices between network members and associations or other similar bodies; legislative recommendations and representation of members in relation to national institutions and supporting local authorities in the development of effective Energy and Climate policies. OER team members’ competencies are diverse and include project management, communication, finance, energy planning, legal, education etc. Our team has extended experience in implementing projects, especially in the field of energy and climate, as well as facilitating the dialogue and roundtables between various stakeholders. We are providing tailored consultancy to local authorities, municipal staff trainings and facilitate networking in order to increase the implementation of local climate actions.
