Soil monitoring professional
Forestry and soil technician at Dr. Agr. For. Samuele Magnelli

About
Together with the team of freelancers I work with, I can provide soil monitoring services such as:
• Soil profile reading, with identification of individual genetic horizons and complete field survey following the criteria set out by the FAO in the Soil Field Handbook;
• Soil classification according to the World Reference Base for Soil Resources;
• Analysis of soil biological fertility using the QBS-ar (Soil Biological Quality) method;
• Correlation of field data and laboratory analyses and production of cartographic maps.
Although neither my colleagues nor I have ever participated in a European project, our experience in this field can be a useful ally in pursuing the objectives of the Soil Mission. The tools mentioned above can make a fundamental contribution to the choice of the most suitable management criteria for a given soil type, generating data that can be used, for example, in Soil Living Labs activities.
I am interested in establishing partnerships with local managing authorities, startups and organisations. As a consultant, together with my colleagues, I can work with Italian organisations with whom we are in contact, thanks to past and present projects, to create a network in which to share visions and turn them into reality.
