Soil science

Researcher at University of Vigo

About

I´m a researcher from the University of Vigo (Spain) with more than 15 years of experience in soil science. My research line is focused on the use of nature-based solutions to rehabilitate degraded soils. I have large experience with the use of artificial soils (Technosols) and biochar, but I´ve also worked with phytoremediation and bioremediation. I have experience in the evaluation of soil quality, with more focus on soil chemistry and soil pollution.

I´ve been working in two Horizon Europe projects as a partner (C-sink and Terrasafe), and I worked in another European funded project as a project coordinator (Mindingsoils).

My research team counts on equipment and experience to analyse all types of physico-chemical parameters, set up and monitor experiments, as well as greenhouse and outdoor space to implement small and medium scale experiments.
