AQ-Tech engineers and manufactures active textile products: smart, inflatable and functional, from a single module to the complete product, under one roof in the French Alps.
Founded in 2019 near Annecy, AQ-Tech brings mechanical engineering, embedded electronics and technical textiles together in a single team, with its own prototyping workshop and series production line. This integration answers a recurring problem in the sector: most connected textiles never reach production. They work as prototypes, then fail on washing, on signal quality in real conditions, or on reproducibility in series. At AQ-Tech, the three disciplines design the product together from the start, and production is part of the design.
Medical devices
AQ-Tech develops and manufactures textile medical devices for manufacturers, white label. Its clients' brands and intellectual property remain theirs.
-
Biomonitoring. Washable monitoring garments with textile dry electrodes, measuring ECG, EMG, bioimpedance, motion and temperature. The embedded acquisition electronics are designed for low-level signals, and the signal processing detects motion artefacts to deliver usable data.
-
Electrostimulation. Garments with integrated textile electrodes that replace adhesive pads, for rehabilitation, pain management and muscle recovery.
-
Pneumatic compression. Textile compression devices with HF-welded bladders, a compact pump block and electronic pressure regulation. Bioimpedance measurement can be integrated into the same textile, for example for lymphoedema follow-up.
-
Wearable airbags. Inflatable systems with mechanical or electronic triggering, for fall protection and for the protection of medical exoskeletons.
-
Therapeutic functional textiles. LED photobiomodulation and heating textiles, with electronics protected by low-pressure moulding (LPM) encapsulation.
From module to complete product
AQ-Tech delivers a single subassembly, such as a textile electrode, a pump block, a trigger unit or integrated electronics, or the complete product. The client chooses the scope; the standard is the same.
Proof of production
AQ-Tech currently produces a Class IIa certified medical device in-house, in clinical trial, and manufactures a washable electrostimulation garment in series. Every component is qualified through standardised washing protocols, with a test report. The workshop produces from 10 to several thousand units, with full traceability.
In development
AQ-Motion, a textile sensing platform for ECG, EMG and motion, brings together AQ-Tech's work on electrodes, measurement electronics, signal processing and washability.
Other markets
Beyond medical, AQ-Tech works with industrial, sports and security manufacturers on exoskeleton interfaces, heated and connected protective equipment, wearable airbags and inflatable structures.
Working with AQ-Tech
Projects usually start with a 6-week feasibility study. It delivers a technical verdict, a proposed architecture, a budget and a timeline. It is followed by proof-of-concept prototyping, development and industrialisation, then series production.
