About
Progenus offers molecular biology expertise for the characterisation and monitoring of microorganisms used in industrial biotechnology and bioprocess development.
Our capabilities include:
-
custom PCR and qPCR assay development;
-
analytical optimisation and validation;
-
microbial identification and quantification;
-
detection of contaminants in biological processes;
-
monitoring of strain identity and genetic stability;
-
16S sequencing and bacterial whole-genome sequencing;
-
automated DNA extraction;
-
development of standardised analytical workflows;
-
development and production of molecular kits under ISO 13485.
These capabilities can support projects involving microbial fermentation, synthetic biology, microalgae, circular bioeconomy and biotechnology-based CCU.
Progenus is particularly interested in collaborative R&D projects where molecular data can help evaluate process robustness, reproducibility, contamination risks and biological stability during scale-up.
