Innovation Manager at Bondalti Water

About

Bondalti Water offers an industrial integrator and solution deployer role to help ports implement systemic, measurable improvements in (i) pollution prevention and mitigation, (ii) circular resource management, and (iii) resilience to climate extremes through robust environmental management in harbour areas—aligned with the topic’s expected outcomes and scope (including biodiversity restoration and circular economy initiatives).

What we can contribute (work packages / tasks)

  • Port pollution reduction packages (water-centric): design and deployment of treatment and control solutions for runoff/stormwater, wash waters, high-solids streams, and other port-generated aqueous effluents to reduce emissions to receiving waters, supporting compliance with relevant EU legislation referenced in the topic.

  • Circular water and waste management systems: engineering of reuse loops and waste-management approaches that reduce port-generated waste and enable recycling/circularity (including monitoring and performance verification).

  • Digital monitoring and decision support: online sensing, data pipelines, and analytics/digital-twin style monitoring to quantify and verify impacts (pollution reduction, operational KPIs) and to support adaptive management; can also contribute monitoring approaches relevant to invasive species risk management in port contexts.

  • Nature-based and ecosystem-supporting measures: integration engineering for nature-based solutions (e.g., vegetated buffers and related measures) that protect port infrastructure from coastal risks while enhancing biodiversity, as exemplified in the scope.

  • Climate resilience operations: support to port/city resilience actions (flooding, sea-level rise, extreme weather) via improved environmental management and robust infrastructure O&M concepts.

  • Replication to “associated regions” (capacity building): technical assistance packages, implementation playbooks, and training to enable uptake in associated regions, consistent with the topic’s replication expectations and the Financial Support to Third Parties mechanism.

Assets

  • Strong industrial track record in water/wastewater system design and operational optimisation under variable, harsh conditions.

  • Innovation capacity in instrumentation, data engineering, modelling, and performance verification (needed for measurable, verifiable progress).
