About

TAGEM is a central general directorate under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, comprising 49 different research institutes in various disciplines. The Poultry Research Institute (TAEM) is a research center affiliated with TAGEM, located in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye. TAEM focuses on national data collection and evaluation for poultry research, coordinating strategic studies on breeding, rearing methods, feed technology, and nutrition, while utilizing biotechnological approaches to preserve and enhance local genetic resources and hybrids. Ultimately, the TAEM aims to become a global leader in indigenous layer breeding through scientific innovation, quality, and sustainability, poultry developments.
