Sustainable Bio-Solutions: Integrating Microalgae and Soil Microbiology for Crop Health

Agricultural Engineer (Agricultural Biotechnology) at Black Sea Agricultural Research Institute Directorate, Samsun

Samsun, Türkiye

About

Project Focus and Expertise: I am a researcher and Agricultural Engineer based at the Black Sea Agricultural Research Institute (TAGEM). My current research focuses on the intersection of biotechnology, bioinformatics, and soil microbiology. I lead and contribute to several high-impact projects, including:

  • Microalgae & Soil Health: Isolation and identification of microalgae to enhance soil quality and crop yield (specifically rice).

  • Soil Microbiome: Identification and production of beneficial bacteria from rice straw compost.

  • Bioinformatics & Genomics: In silico characterization of cold shock genes in Pseudomonas migulae and resistome analysis of Antarctic bacterial strains.

  • Biopesticides: Developing algae-based biopesticides for sustainable pest management.

What We Offer:

  • Advanced laboratory infrastructure at TAGEM.

  • Extensive experience in field trials for hazelnut and cereal crops.

  • Expertise in molecular identification and taxonomic classification of microbial isolates.

Target Cooperation: We are seeking to join MSCA Doctoral Networks or Staff Exchanges focused on sustainable agriculture, soil-microbe interactions, and the development of bio-based agricultural inputs.
