European Homologation & Certification Partnership for an Accessible Electric Micro-Vehicle

Hampercar is developing an accessible electric micro-vehicle designed to enable wheelchair users to enter the vehicle via a ramp, remain in their own wheelchair and drive independently without transferring to a conventional vehicle seat.

We are seeking cooperation with European type-approval authorities, technical services, homologation consultants, testing laboratories, research institutions and engineering companies to support the vehicle’s regulatory and technical validation pathway.

Key cooperation areas include:

• L-category and L6e/L6e-BP regulatory assessment
• EU type-approval and alternative approval pathways
• Wheelchair-as-driver-seat architecture
• Wheelchair docking and occupant restraint systems
• Seat, anchorage and structural safety requirements
• Functional safety and vehicle control systems
• EMC and electrical safety
• Braking, lighting and vehicle construction requirements
• Technical documentation and compliance strategy
• Prototype testing and validation
• Conformity of Production and manufacturing readiness

We are particularly interested in partners who have experience with Regulation (EU) 168/2013, L-category vehicles, accessible vehicles, wheelchair restraint and docking systems, small-series approval, individual approval or innovative vehicle concepts.

Hampercar can provide the vehicle platform, engineering concept, prototype architecture and manufacturing infrastructure in Türkiye.

Our objective is to establish the most appropriate regulatory route for European market entry and work with qualified partners through testing, certification and production readiness.

We are open to technical cooperation, joint R&D projects, testing partnerships, consultancy, Horizon Europe collaboration and pilot programmes.
