Hampercar is an accessible electric micro-vehicle designed to enable wheelchair users to enter, drive and exit the vehicle independently without transferring from their wheelchair.
The vehicle is being developed around a rear-ramp entry architecture, wheelchair docking and securement systems, electric propulsion, embedded vehicle controls and safety-focused design.
Hampercar addresses one of the major barriers faced by wheelchair users in personal transportation: the need to transfer from a wheelchair to a conventional vehicle seat. Its objective is to provide an affordable, practical and scalable electric mobility solution for independent urban transportation.
The project combines accessible mobility, electric vehicle engineering, embedded vehicle systems, functional safety, vehicle integration and automotive manufacturing.
Potential application areas include personal mobility, municipalities, healthcare institutions, rehabilitation centres, universities and campuses, airports, tourism facilities and other environments requiring accessible transportation.
Hampercar is currently progressing through engineering, regulatory compliance, homologation and production-readiness activities, with the objective of establishing scalable manufacturing in Türkiye and expanding into European and international markets.
We are seeking cooperation with municipalities, universities, research organisations, automotive and mobility technology companies, accessibility organisations, healthcare providers, mobility operators and European R&D consortia.
Areas of interest include accessible and inclusive mobility, electric micro-vehicles, wheelchair docking and restraint systems, vehicle safety, embedded control systems, advanced manufacturing, smart cities, sustainable transportation, pilot deployments and international market validation.
