About
TABULA | Where taste brings people and the region together
Cross-border cooperation for nature restoration living labs
TABULA is an emerging initiative rooted in the Meuse-Rhine Euroregion, connecting the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
We are exploring opportunities to contribute to Horizon Europe projects developing nature restoration living labs, particularly those addressing agricultural landscapes, biodiversity, community involvement and cooperation across sectors.
Potential regional contribution
The Meuse-Rhine Euroregion offers an interesting context for exploring connections between agricultural landscapes, food production, hospitality, local communities and regional identity.
TABULA aims to connect these existing regional qualities and encourage practical cooperation across organisational, sectoral and national boundaries.
Depending on the requirements of a research-led consortium, we could explore contributing through:
-
Regional stakeholder engagement involving producers, businesses, residents and public authorities.
-
Cross-border networking and cooperation.
-
Participatory workshops and co-creation activities.
-
Connecting nature restoration objectives with regional food culture, hospitality and public awareness.
-
Communication, knowledge exchange and dissemination of project outcomes.
-
Exploring possible locations, stakeholders and partnerships for future demonstration activities.
Partners sought
We are looking for universities, environmental research organisations, regional authorities, agricultural and landscape organisations, and experienced Horizon Europe consortium coordinators.
Our particular interest is HORIZON-NATURE-2027-02-02, especially opportunities related to biodiversity-friendly agricultural landscapes and participatory approaches to ecosystem restoration.
Current status and contribution
TABULA is in its exploratory phase. It does not currently operate a nature restoration living lab, have committed experimental sites or represent an established research consortium.
Our contribution would be based on experience in programme management, hospitality, stakeholder cooperation, regional food systems and cross-border network development.
We welcome discussions about a potential supporting role in a consortium led by organisations with the necessary scientific, environmental and technical expertise.
