About
TABULA | Where taste brings people and the region together
Project cooperation opportunity
TABULA is an emerging cross-border initiative rooted in the Meuse-Rhine Euroregion, connecting the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
We are exploring opportunities to join Horizon Europe consortia working on systemic approaches to biodiversity, nature-positive regional development and community participation.
Background and regional context
The Meuse-Rhine Euroregion brings together diverse landscapes, agricultural traditions, local producers, hospitality businesses, universities, cultural organisations and communities across national and linguistic borders.
TABULA aims to connect these existing strengths through gastronomy, hospitality, craftsmanship, regional identity and shared experiences.
Our approach starts with people and places. We believe that engaging local businesses, producers, residents and visitors could help make wider environmental and sustainability ambitions more tangible and relevant to everyday life.
Potential contribution to a European consortium
Depending on the project objectives and consortium requirements, TABULA could explore contributing to:
-
Stakeholder identification, engagement and cross-border networking.
-
Collaboration between hospitality businesses, food producers, local communities and public authorities.
-
Participatory workshops, knowledge exchange and co-creation activities.
-
Communication and public engagement around biodiversity and landscape-related challenges.
-
Development of regional pilot concepts connecting environmental objectives with hospitality, sustainable food culture and community participation.
-
Sharing experience in programme management, regional food networks, business development and multi-stakeholder cooperation.
Cooperation sought
We are particularly interested in connecting with universities, research institutes, environmental organisations, regional development agencies, public authorities and experienced Horizon Europe coordinators.
Our primary interest is HORIZON-NATURE-2027-01-03: Systemic approaches to accelerate transformative change for biodiversity.
We are also open to exploring connections with living lab initiatives under HORIZON-NATURE-2027-02-02 and HORIZON-NATURE-2027-02-03 where regional participation and cross-border stakeholder cooperation could be relevant.
TABULA could potentially contribute as a regional stakeholder engagement, communication or implementation partner alongside organisations with the necessary scientific and technical expertise.
Current status
TABULA is currently in its exploratory phase. The initiative is developing its regional concept, identifying potential partners and assessing opportunities for collaborative activities.
No operational biodiversity living lab or committed research consortium is currently in place. Any participation would depend on project fit, partner agreements, eligibility and appropriate organisational arrangements.
We welcome introductory discussions with potential consortium coordinators and partners to explore where TABULA could make a credible and practical contribution.
