About
AGROEDUKA – Croatian NGO Seeking Horizon Europe NATURE Project Partnerships
AGROEDUKA is a Croatian non-profit association established in 2013 and based in Zagreb. We specialise in sustainable horticulture, urban and peri-urban green spaces, biodiversity conservation, water-efficient irrigation, sustainable plant protection and environmental education.
Our team consists of two graduate agronomists, both authorised advisers of the Croatian Chamber of Agronomy. We combine professional agronomic expertise with practical experience in horticulture, plant health, green space management and educational activities for citizens and local communities.
Our Relevant Experience
In 2026, AGROEDUKA received funding from the City of Zagreb for the Green Compass (Zeleni kompas) initiative, focusing on sustainable water and nutrient management, responsible plant protection, biodiversity conservation and climate-smart planting.
Our activities include professional agronomic advice, educational workshops, practical guidance for gardeners and community-oriented environmental education.
What We Can Contribute to a Horizon Europe Consortium
We are interested in participating as an implementation partner, particularly under:
-
HORIZON-NATURE-2027-02-02 – Living Labs for ecosystem restoration
-
HORIZON-NATURE-2027-02-03 – Networking and scaling up Living Labs
AGROEDUKA can contribute to the following project activities:
-
Living Labs and Pilot Activities: Supporting the development and implementation of practical ecosystem restoration demonstrations in urban and peri-urban environments in Croatia.
-
Sustainable Horticulture and Water Management: Providing agronomic expertise in climate-resilient planting, irrigation efficiency, soil management and sustainable vegetation practices.
-
Biodiversity and Field Monitoring: Supporting field observations, vegetation assessments and practical monitoring activities in cooperation with scientific partners.
-
Citizen Engagement and Environmental Education: Organising workshops, training activities and participatory initiatives involving citizens, schools, local communities and other stakeholders.
-
Knowledge Transfer and Dissemination: Translating scientific findings into accessible educational materials, practical recommendations and community-based solutions.
-
Local Project Implementation and Coordination: Coordinating agreed project activities in Croatia, supporting stakeholder communication, organising field activities and contributing to project reporting.
What We Are Looking For
AGROEDUKA is seeking universities, research institutions, municipalities, NGOs and experienced Horizon Europe coordinators developing international consortia focused on ecosystem restoration, biodiversity, nature-based solutions and climate resilience.
We are particularly interested in partnerships where our organisation can take responsibility for clearly defined project tasks, with an appropriate budget for personnel, implementation, coordination and field activities.
We aim to establish long-term European partnerships and contribute practical agronomic knowledge, local implementation capacity and meaningful community engagement to successful Horizon Europe projects.
