Stakeholder engagement, capacity building and communication partner with strong experience in nature restoration and carbon farming
Director of Partnerships and Business Development at thriveGEO GmbH
Munich, Germany
About
thriveGEO is looking to join Horizon Europe NATURE consortia as a partner responsible for stakeholder engagement, capacity building, communication and dissemination.
We are a geospatial training and consulting company based in Germany. We help research and innovation consortia connect their results with the people expected to use them: farmers and land managers, certifiers and buyers, public authorities, and the technical teams building tools and platforms. What sets us apart is that we understand the data side. Earth observation, monitoring and MRV are our daily work, so we can explain technical results to non-specialists and bring user needs back into technical design.
thriveGEO can lead or contribute to:
-
stakeholder mapping, user research and engagement planning;
-
co-design workshops linking practitioners with technical teams;
-
capacity building and training programmes, including multilingual delivery;
-
measuring training impact and changes in practice, not just attendance;
-
translating technical and monitoring results into plain-language formats, policy briefs and practice abstracts;
-
communication and dissemination, including websites, social media, podcasts and webinars;
-
policy dialogue and working groups with EU institutions;
-
internal communication across work packages, so stakeholder insight reaches the people building and deciding;
-
exploitation planning and links to carbon farming buyers.

OGCR, an €11.5m Horizon Europe Mission Soil project building open digital infrastructure for CRCF certification. thriveGEO leads stakeholder engagement, dissemination and exploitation. We have engaged more than 100 stakeholders across seven groups, built and run the Policy Working Group with DG CLIMA, DG AGRI, EEA and JRC, and our findings now shape how the registry is designed.
-
EOPF Toolkit, an ESA-backed toolkit for Sentinel data users, for which thriveGEO runs user engagement, including a community notebook competition whose winning notebooks are now published as learning material.
-
Generative AI for Geospatial Challenge, co-hosted with Amazon Web Services. We ran the open call end to end, from launch and jury selection to supporting 14 winning teams across Europe, Africa and the Middle East as they built working prototypes, several of which focused on climate resilience and environment intelligence.
-
Capacity building that changes practice. We design and deliver training for space agencies, government departments and global companies, including the French Space Agency (CNES), Natural Resources Canada, BASF Digital Farming and the Australian Ocean Data Network. We tailor each programme so it’s relevant and timely.
We are particularly interested in projects that work with farmers, land managers and public authorities on restoration, carbon farming and monitoring, where getting people to use the results matters as much as producing them.
We would like to meet coordinators, living lab networks, research organisations and finance partners looking for a partner to lead or strengthen their engagement, capacity building and communication work. See our portfolio for more detailed case studies.
