HORIZON-NATURE-2027-01-01: Ecotoxicology and Bioindicators for PFAS Effects
Associate Professor at University of Camerino
Camerino, Italy
About
We are looking to join a multidisciplinary consortium as a research partner under HORIZON-NATURE-2027-01-01.
UNICAM offers environmental ecotoxicology and soil-biodiversity methods applicable to investigating PFAS effects, particularly on understudied soil organisms and biological communities. Our contribution can combine field surveys, laboratory toxicity tests with non-target organisms, eDNA/metabarcoding, microbial and protist community profiling, and multi-taxon indicators based on soil microarthropods and earthworms.
These approaches can support the identification of sensitive biological endpoints and indicator taxa, the assessment of chronic and mixture effects, and the monitoring of ecological damage and recovery following remediation.
We are interested in joining a consortium that includes complementary expertise in PFAS analytical chemistry, environmental exposure assessment, fate and transport modelling, remediation technologies, ecosystem services and policy translation.
