About
NESSTEC proposes to act as a pilot-scale electrode manufacturing, pouch-cell prototyping and validation partner for both lithium-ion and sodium-ion technologies. We can optimise slurry formulation, mixing, coating, drying and calendaring parameters and demonstrate scalable roll-to-roll electrode production for different chemistries. We also have experience in screen-printed electrode manufacturing and would like to assess screen printing as a flexible, material-efficient production technique within the project. We will evaluate how conventional and printed manufacturing parameters affect electrode quality, cell performance, energy consumption and material efficiency. Cells will be validated from coin-cell screening to multi-layer pouch cells in the 1–10 Ah range through formation, cycling, EIS, rate-capability and lifetime testing.
