About
This technology enables efficient power control and series connection of multiple offshore or remote wind farms through a High-Voltage Direct Current Line-Commutated Converter (HVDC-LCC) link. Each wind farm injects controlled power into the DC bus, distributing voltage across several rectifier stations and achieving an ultra-high-voltage transmission link.
The system stabilizes interconnected isolated grids by balancing power flow via a simple AC interconnection line between collector buses. Compared to HVDC-VSC systems, this solution offers lower investment costs, smaller and lighter offshore stations, higher efficiency and reliability, and reduced environmental footprint.
Collaboration sought:
License Agreements and/or Technical Cooperation Agreements are sought to further develop the system and integrate it into industrial applications.
