About
Sabancı University Gender and Women’s Studies Center of Excellence (SU Gender) is looking for outstanding post-doctoral researchers who are willing to apply for Marie Sklodowska – Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships (PF) 2023 call.
HOST: Sabanci University Gender and Women’s Studies Center of Excellence (SU Gender) is a research center with extensive experience in research on gender and sexuality in Turkey and beyond. The center produces cutting-edge research on gender and sexuality in relation to vast areas of social sciences and humanities, focusing on issues such as gender and cities, climate and environment, migration, political participation and governance, social movements, education, labor, memory, health and care, literature, among others. The center also runs various educational activities for mainstreaming gender equality in different levels of education, institutional development activities geared towards gender mainstreaming in institutions as well as civic engagement and outreach programs, and maintains close collaboration with diverse societal actors.

The potential applicants are expected to have a strong background in gender research in social sciences, in particular in relation to gender and politics, feminist theory and politics, gender and democracy, gender equality, social movements, among others. The successful candidate is expected to work closely with the SU Gender director Zeynep Gülru Göker, associate professor of political science. Candidates should have a strong research motivation with the enthusiasm to bring scientific questions to successful conclusions.

On a national level, SU has been one of the most successful universities in Turkey in terms of the number of EU Framework Programmes funded projects per faculty member.
