Energy Transition Partnership for fisheries and aquaculture (DG MARE)
Following the work on the Energy Transition Partnership for EU fisheries and aquaculture (ETP), launched in June 2023, and the successful workshops organised since to advance the implementation of the EU Communication, released in February 2023, the Energy Transition Partnership is organising a dedicated session under the European Maritime Days in Cork, Ireland. The discussion will be informed by the findings and recommendations of the 10 Working Groups operating under the ETP’s Support Group.
Workshops Objectives and Deliverables
The workshop aims to:
• Review progress: By presenting the current state of the Working Group's (WG) efforts on the energy transition roadmap.
• Analyze initial findings: By discussing preliminary results and identifying synergies to refine recommendations and develop practical solutions for the fisheries and aquaculture sector.
The deliverables will include a comprehensive summary report detailing the outcomes of the session, which will be used as input for the design of the roadmap for the energy transition for EU fisheries and aquaculture, planned for early 2026
