Janne Posti

Janne is currently the Public Policy Manager at CONXEMAR, a Spanish association for fish importers and processors. Based in Brussels, he focuses on stakeholder engagement, monitoring EU fisheries and trade policies, and advocating for the Spanish seafood sector on issues such as sustainability, traceability, and trade agreements. He also serves as the group coordinator for the Energy Transition Partnership group for the EU processing sector.

Prior to joining CONXEMAR, Janne worked with the FAMENET Support Unit, supporting stakeholders in monitoring and evaluating the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) and promoting community-led local development in EU fisheries. He also held roles at the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), serving as Fisheries and Supply Chain Manager in Helsinki (2014–2018), and later as a Baltic Sea Fisheries and EU Engagement Consultant in Brussels (2018–2020), where he worked closely with EU policymakers, NGOs, and industry representatives.

From 2001 to 2013, Janne worked as a commercial fisher in the Bothnian Bay, Finland.
