About
BIOMECORP is a biotechnology SME based in Türkiye and located at TÜBİTAK Marmara Technopark. The company develops biologically programmed functional biotech platforms with a strong focus on antimicrobial resistance, natural immunity mechanisms, and antimicrobial peptide-enriched biological products.
BIOMECORP was selected as a Hello Tomorrow Deep Tech Pioneer in 2026 and has received business development support under the KOSGEB Entrepreneurship Support Programme. The company is currently building international R&D collaborations and preparing project applications under European and national innovation programmes.
Our proposed project aims to develop a Tenebrio molitor-based biological production platform that can generate antimicrobial peptide-rich biomass and extracts after controlled biological stimulation. The long-term objective is to create a scalable, standardised and commercially translatable biotech platform that may support the development of next-generation alternatives to conventional antimicrobial approaches.
The proposed R&D work focuses on:
-
biological programming of Tenebrio molitor for enhanced antimicrobial peptide response,
-
extraction and characterisation of antimicrobial peptide-rich fractions,
-
activity screening against relevant resistant bacterial pathogens,
-
process optimisation and batch-to-batch standardisation,
-
safety, stability and quality control studies,
-
development of potential applications in veterinary biotechnology, functional feed, antimicrobial research and life sciences.
We are looking for international partners for a Eureka Biotech Call 2026 project, especially:
-
biotechnology SMEs working on antimicrobial resistance,
-
universities or research centres with expertise in antimicrobial peptide characterisation,
-
clinical microbiology or veterinary microbiology laboratories,
-
CROs or laboratories capable of antibacterial activity testing against resistant strains,
-
partners experienced in LC-MS/MS, proteomics, bioinformatics or peptide analytics,
-
bioprocess scale-up, formulation or regulatory/commercialisation experts.
BIOMECORP can contribute with the core biological production concept, Tenebrio molitor-based platform development, experimental design, early-stage production know-how, and commercialisation vision. We aim to build a collaborative project addressing antimicrobial resistance through innovative, biologically derived antimicrobial technologies.
