About

Worldwide Smart Technologies - Partnership Proposal for UK Administrative Lead

Project: Dominate Eco-Rides 2:

A pioneering initiative to launch Malawi’s first scalable electric vehicle (EV) conversion and solar charging network in Lilongwe.

Call to Action:

We invite a UK-registered SME to join as Administrative Lead for our Energy Catalyst Round 11 application. This role is required for UK grant compliance and involves consortium leadership. In return, you gain a foundational role in a groundbreaking African clean mobility venture.

Why This Project is an Absolute Win in Malawi:

Malawi’s transport is almost entirely dependent on used, inefficient internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, with no existing EV conversion industry or dedicated solar charging infrastructure. Our project is a national first, introducing a circular economy model that retrofits existing ICE vehicles into EVs and powers them via solar charging corridors—leapfrogging the need for expensive new EV imports and directly utilizing local solar resources.

Impacts:

· Environmental Pioneer:

Directly reduces urban air pollution and CO₂ emissions by converting polluting vehicles. Creates a 100% solar-powered transport ecosystem, cutting fossil fuel dependence and promoting vehicle reuse.

· Economic Catalyst:

Lowers Malawi's crippling fuel import bill and foreign exchange drain. Establishes a new green industry—creating jobs in EV conversion, local battery assembly, and solar infrastructure—and boosts SME productivity through affordable PAYGO EV access.

· Social & Gender Impact:

Creates high-skill technical employment for youth. Implements targeted training and roles for women in tech and operations. Our inclusive PAYGO model specifically supports women-led SMEs. Improves public health through cleaner air and provides safer, more reliable transport.

The Partnership Offer:

We bring the on-the-ground operational expertise, market access, and technical vision. You provide the UK administrative anchor for grant leadership. Together, we can secure funding to launch this transformative project, which is fully aligned with Malawi 2063 and UN SDGs, and establish a replicable model for clean mobility in Africa.

Next Step: Join us to lead this application and help catalyze a sustainable transport revolution in Malawi.
