Vivende Sp. z o.o. is a Polish SME focused on research, development and commercialization of innovative solutions supporting sustainable development, green transition and resource-efficient agriculture. The company combines engineering, environmental technologies, digital solutions and applied R&D with a strong orientation towards practical implementation.

Vivende’s activities are concentrated in three complementary areas: renewable energy, sustainable agriculture and R&D/innovation services. According to the company’s profile, Vivende develops solutions related to renewable energy sources, including wind energy, low-speed generators, photovoltaic systems, energy storage, water aeration and heating-support systems. In agriculture, the company has experience in innovative solutions for beekeeping, irrigation, algae-based feed production and cattle breeding. Vivende also provides R&D, environmental, energy and innovation-related services and cooperates with scientific institutions in Poland and abroad.

A key strength of Vivende is its interdisciplinary approach. The company brings together expertise in renewable energy, automation, embedded systems, software development, artificial intelligence, environmental microbiology, biotechnology, bioprocess engineering and project management. This enables Vivende to participate in the full innovation pathway – from an R&D concept, through prototyping and field validation, to commercialization.

One of the company’s important technology directions is smart and sustainable beekeeping. The ApiAI project focuses on the development of an autonomous apiary management system based on a digital representation of the process and AI-based vision systems. The concept combines sensors, data analysis and artificial intelligence to support beekeepers, improve hive monitoring and create new tools for data-driven apiary management. Vivende has also participated in projects related to sustainable honey production and smart-hive solutions in cooperation with research and agricultural partners.

The company is currently developing new R&D initiatives in bioeconomy, circular economy and climate-resilient food production.

HempCascade is a new project focused on creating an integrated and sustainable value chain for industrial hemp. It addresses cascade valorisation of hemp biomass and the development of higher-value products and applications from different biomass fractions. The approach combines sustainable cultivation, biotechnology and biomass processing with circular-economy principles and digital tools supporting traceability, decision-making and commercialization. The objective is to maximize biomass use, reduce waste and create viable applications for agricultural and industrial markets. The project requires close cooperation between agricultural producers, research organisations, biotechnology specialists and digital-technology partners.

A second emerging development area is floating platforms for vegetable production. Vivende is developing modular floating cultivation platforms intended for efficient vegetable production and testing new models of food production in water-based environments. The project creates opportunities to combine cultivation technologies with renewable energy, smart monitoring, water management and automation. It can also support research into resource efficiency, climate adaptation and alternative approaches to local food production. The solution is intended for validation under real operating conditions, with a focus on scalability and commercialization.

Vivende is particularly interested in international cooperation in bioeconomy, sustainable agriculture, biotechnology, biomass valorisation, circular economy, smart farming, AI, IoT, renewable energy, environmental technologies, water management and climate-resilient food systems.

For POLNORIS, Vivende is looking for Norwegian research organisations and technology partners that can contribute complementary scientific expertise, research infrastructure, advanced analytical methods, modelling, environmental assessment, biotechnology, digital technologies or pilot-scale validation. We are especially interested in partnerships where research excellence can be combined with real-life testing and a clear route to implementation.

Vivende can contribute project development experience, agricultural and industrial use cases, field-testing environments, interdisciplinary technical know-how, commercialization orientation and experience in cooperation between science and business. Our goal is to build Polish–Norwegian projects that deliver strong research results together with measurable environmental, economic and social impact.

We are open to joining existing POLNORIS consortia as an SME partner or jointly developing new concepts with Norwegian research organisations, especially projects aligned with the Green Transition of Europe and scalable market implementation.
