About
NORCE Coastal and Ocean Systems provides high-resolution modelling, analysis and forecasting of waves, currents and wind for coastal and offshore areas. We combine numerical metocean models with observational data, statistical methods and advanced data analytics to produce reliable forecasts and site-specific decision support.
Our expertise covers operational oceanography, model configuration and validation, hindcast analysis, metocean design bases, extreme-value analysis and assessment of operational weather windows. Forecasts and derived data products can be adapted to specific locations, operational requirements and user needs.
We can contribute to international research and innovation projects with numerical modelling, observational data, forecast development, model validation, data integration and operational use cases. Our solutions support safer and more efficient maritime transport, offshore operations, offshore renewable energy, aquaculture, coastal infrastructure and ocean management.
We are looking for partners interested in combining metocean information with digital platforms, operational planning, risk assessment and decision-support systems.
