About
The SeCuRe Microbiological Resource Center at IBPRS-PIB maintains a collection of well-characterised bacterial and fungal strains, with genotypic and phenotypic characterisation and defined cultivation conditions.
Applications relevant to Cluster 4 Industry:
- Production strains for bio-based chemicals, organic acids and biopolymers
- Biosorption and bioaccumulation of metals — biological routes to recovery of critical and strategic raw materials from secondary sources
- Biodegradation of polymers and process residues, including end-of-life assessment of bio-based materials
- Enzymatic activity screening for processing of natural fibres and biomass fractions
Services for partners:
- Targeted screening campaigns against a defined process requirement
- Strain characterisation, deposition and maintenance
- Transfer of a selected strain into a developed bioprocess at our own facilities
Infrastructure developed under the SeCuRe project (European Regional Development Fund, Mazovia Regional Programme).
