I’m Divy Gupte, a senior researcher and project manager at IKEM in Berlin. I work on sustainable mobility, transport policy, governance, and European research projects.
The Institute for Climate Protection, Energy and Mobility (IKEM) is a non-profit, interdisciplinary research institute based in Berlin, Germany. Founded in 2009 and affiliated with the University of Greifswald, IKEM focuses on the legal, economic, and political dimensions of the transition to a sustainable society. Its work spans a wide range of topics related to climate protection, renewable energy, and sustainable mobility, with a particular emphasis on policy design and regulatory frameworks. IKEM collaborates with national and international partners across academia, government, civil society, and industry to conduct applied research that informs policy and supports innovation. The institute plays a key role in shaping climate and energy policy in Germany and Europe, contributing to major research projects and advising decision-makers on effective strategies for decarbonization and system transformation. In recognition of its impact, IKEM has held Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) since 2017. Through its research, publications, and public engagement, IKEM aims to accelerate the implementation of the Paris Agreement, the European Green Deal, and other key climate objectives.
Hi, I’m Divy Gupte, a senior researcher and project manager at IKEM in Berlin. My work focuses on sustainable urban mobility, transport policy, governance, and the implementation of innovative mobility solutions.
I’m particularly interested in the 15-minute city concept from a mobility and governance perspective—how we can improve accessibility, reduce car dependency, integrate public and shared mobility, and translate innovative concepts into practical policies and scalable solutions.
Through different European research projects, I also work on stakeholder engagement, business models, exploitation, and policy recommendations. I’d be very interested in connecting with partners working on urban planning, accessibility, mobility behaviour, public transport, digital solutions, or city pilots to explore potential collaboration for the call.
