European Infrastructure for Proof of Origin of Digital Works
Project initiator / Independent researcher at AURA – European Infrastructure for Proof of Origin & Provenance (AI Act aligned)
Marseille, France
About
This project aims to design and pilot a European, platform‑independent and third‑party verifiable infrastructure for proof of origin and integrity of digital works and digital assets.
It addresses the growing gap between EU regulatory requirements (AI Act, copyright, DMA, Cyber Resilience Act) and the lack of interoperable technical evidence infrastructures.
The project is positioned as a public‑interest, non‑commercial, infrastructure and capacity‑building initiative, intended to support regulation, audit, compliance and enforcement through concrete technical capabilities and a European‑scale testbed.
The expected outcomes include:
– an open specification for proof of origin and integrity,
– a European pilot testbed,
– and operational recommendations for standardisation and deployment.
We are looking for partners in research, public institutions, cultural heritage, technical infrastructure and standardisation.
