About

Our expertise

Efigo offers R&D and technical development capacity in cybersecurity, backed by a team that combines applied security practice with an academic research background.

Track record in R&D delivery

We have direct, hands-on experience executing publicly funded R&D projects, including:

  • SPINET (contract no. CYBERSECIDENT/489240/IV/NCBR/2021) — an IoT cybersecurity R&D project funded by Poland's National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) under the CyberSecIdent IV programme

  • NCC-PL — carried out under the Third-Party Financial Support Programme, part of the National Coordination Centre (NCC-PL) project run by Poland's Ministry of Digital Affairs with the Centre for Digital Poland Projects, co-financed by the Digital Europe Programme, under which we developed a security audit application

This gives us practical understanding of how to move from a research problem to a working, deployable solution — not just theoretical input.

An academically grounded team

Our team includes members with academic backgrounds and ongoing ties to the research community:

  • Technical leadership with a background in Data Science from the Silesian University of Technology, active in research and development project supervision

  • Team members who continuously cooperate with scientific units, contributing to knowledge building and dissemination among students and young researchers

  • Published academic work and hands-on ethical hacking research, including vulnerabilities independently discovered and reported to the CVE database — some of international significance, affecting products of well-known vendors and major service providers

Capacity to invest

We are not just offering advisory input — we have the internal resources and willingness to commit our own time and effort to R&D and development work within a project, whether that means research tasks, prototype development, security testing and validation, or applied piloting.

Areas of expertise

  • IoT and OT cybersecurity

  • Application, infrastructure, and cloud security (penetration testing, red teaming, hardening)

  • Security audits and compliance (ISO 27001/22301, GDPR, NIS2/KSC, DORA)

  • AI applied to cybersecurity (an area of active interest and growing focus)

  • Secure software development (SecDevOps/DevSecOps)

We are ENISA-vetted (listed in the EU Cybersecurity Reserve) and an authorized OffSec (Offensive Security) partner, reflecting the depth and credibility of our technical foundation.

What we're offering to partners

A committed technical partner for cybersecurity R&D and development work — with proven delivery experience, real research capability within the team, and the time and resources to actively contribute, not just consult.
