Architecture-first framework for AI-assisted development - getting AI-written code past the prototype ceiling

About
The problem
AI coding tools make it dramatically faster to produce something that demonstrates well, and dramatically easier to produce something nobody can maintain. The failure patterns are consistent: the architecture gets silently rewritten every few prompts; the model loses track of decisions made earlier in a growing codebase; components that each work in isolation cannot talk to each other; and eventually the code works but no human on the team can safely change it.
The common root cause is treating AI as a substitute for architectural thinking rather than a tool that operates inside architectural boundaries. In industrial and safety-adjacent contexts, that distinction is not academic.
What the framework is
A structured approach separating the decisions humans must make from the work AI can accelerate:
-
A fixed foundation: data model, authentication approach, API structure and integration patterns decided, documented and locked before AI generates anything against them
-
A defined playground: where AI may work freely, which is most business logic, UI and feature implementation
-
Pre-solved problems AI is never asked to reinvent, security-sensitive components in particular
-
A six-stage verification checkpoint system: requirement interpretation, architectural alignment, business logic, security review, integration and user acceptance
-
AI applied across the lifecycle, not only to code: requirements into user stories, traceability, task breakdown and dependency management
-
A thirty-day implementation roadmap, from foundation to pilot to full team integration
Why it exists
We built it after our own AI experiments produced code we could not maintain. It is documented in our practitioner guide, "From Proof of Concept to Production: Breaking the AI Development Ceiling," written from real projects and real failures.
How we deliver it
As an assessment of your current AI maturity, as a guided implementation with your engineering team, or applied directly on a project we deliver. It pairs with our DevOps Foundation: the framework governs how code is written, the Foundation governs how it runs.
What are we looking for?
Technical cooperation and services agreement. We are looking for engineering teams already using AI coding tools and finding the output does not survive contact with production, and for organisations that built early products with AI, low-code or freelancers and now need engineering maturity to scale.
