Operational and security readiness assessment - a structured review of what breaks under pressure
Client Solutions Strategist at Ascendro

About
What it is
A focused review of the operational and security reality of an existing system, carried out by the engineers who would be responsible for running it. Deliberately small in scope, so a first collaboration does not require a large commitment from either side.
What we look at
-
How code reaches production today, and how much of that path is manual
-
What is monitored, what is not, and what would go unnoticed if it failed at night
-
Whether logs are usable during an incident, or only after it
-
What is backed up, how often, and whether a restore has actually been tested
-
How identity, access and secrets are handled across environments
-
Where container images come from, and whether anything scans them
-
Network exposure: what is reachable from where, and what should not be
-
Single points of failure, in the infrastructure and in the team
-
What the current infrastructure costs, and where that spend is not buying reliability
For connected-product platforms we extend this to the device side: broker configuration and authentication, TLS and certificate lifecycle across the fleet, message retention and backlog behaviour under load, and what happens to devices when the platform is unavailable.
What you receive
A written findings report with observations, risks ranked by likelihood and impact, and prioritised recommendations. Where a migration or stabilisation makes sense, we include an indicative approach and timeline.
The report is yours regardless of whether we work together afterwards.
Why we offer it
Operational responsibility is not something either side should agree to on the strength of a pitch. We would rather look at the system first. It also makes for a better second meeting than a capabilities deck.
Format
An initial 20-minute conversation at the event to establish scope, followed by the review itself. Fully remote, in English or German.
What are we looking for?
Services agreement and technical cooperation, as an entry point to a longer collaboration. We are looking for organisations with a live platform, an internal team under pressure and an unclear picture of their own operational and security risk - and for anyone here who wants a concrete first step rather than a general conversation.
