Seeking Partners – Equitable and Value-Based Cancer Care | Horizon Europe Cancer Mission 2027
Chargée de développement stratégique at EDHEC Business School
Nice, France
About
EDHEC Business School is interested in joining and co-developing a consortium for HORIZON-MISS-2027-02-CANCER-04 – “Improving equitable health outcomes and added value for and with cancer patients through health-economics research, health systems research and outcomes research”.
This topic is particularly aligned with EDHEC’s expertise, as health economics, health systems research, outcomes research, equity, organisational challenges and patient involvement are central components of the call.
EDHEC can bring a strong Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) contribution across several core dimensions of the project, including:
-
Health economics and value-based healthcare: healthcare expenditure and resource-use analysis, direct and indirect costs, cost-effectiveness, and assessment of value generated for patients and healthcare systems;
-
Health systems and organisational research: analysis and comparison of cancer care pathways, organisational models, access to care and differences between healthcare settings, regions and countries;
-
Equity in cancer care: assessment of socio-economic, socio-demographic, territorial and organisational inequalities in access, experience and health outcomes;
-
Patient-centred outcomes: identification and assessment of patient-relevant outcomes, quality of life, patient experience and value from the patient perspective;
-
Behavioural and participatory research: qualitative and quantitative research with patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals, including interviews, surveys, co-design and participatory approaches;
-
Implementation and policy translation: identification of organisational conditions enabling effective and cost-effective cancer care and translation of evidence into actionable recommendations for healthcare providers and policymakers.
EDHEC could therefore contribute to or lead dedicated work packages on health economics, value-based healthcare, health systems, equity, patient-centred outcomes and participatory research, while working closely with clinical, epidemiological and data partners.
We are particularly interested in meeting coordinators, cancer centres, hospitals, clinical and epidemiological research teams, patient organisations, health authorities and data holders developing a proposal for this topic.
