Microbiome biomarker partner for AI-driven NCD prediction
Scientific Project Coordinator & Business Development at REM Analytics SA
Monthey, Switzerland
About
REM Analytics is a Swiss biotech specialised in precision microbiome diagnostics, with validated assays already in clinical and commercial use across gut and vaginal microbiome applications. We design and run targeted microbial quantification panels built around the taxa and functions a clinical study actually wants to track, at the throughput and reproducibility a biomarker panel needs.
For TOOL-01, we offer a microbiome biomarker layer feeding AI-driven predictive models of disease progression and treatment response in chronic NCDs. Microbial biomarkers for conditions such as gynaecological and gastrointestinal NCDs often sit at the level of specific species and strains within broader groups, where close relatives can carry very different clinical signals. REM’s targeted assays are designed to quantify closely related species individually, which is why our vaginal and gut panels are in clinical and commercial use today. For a TOOL-01 consortium, this means we can design the microbiome component of a biomarker panel around the taxa relevant to the condition under study, deliver reproducible data across sites and time points and plug into multi-omics integration at the resolution an AI partner needs.
We are looking to join a TOOL-01 consortium developing predictive biomarkers for a chronic NCD where the microbiome is a plausible biomarker modality. Our role would be to design and run the microbial component of the biomarker panel across the consortium’s cohorts, feeding the AI model directly. The consortium brings the clinical cohorts, the disease framing and the AI expertise.
REM has been a partner in several Horizon Europe projects and welcomes consortium discussions.
