Microbiome partner for personalised prevention of ADRs in polypharmacy
Scientific Project Coordinator & Business Development at REM Analytics SA

About
REM Analytics is a Swiss biotech startup specialised in precision microbiome diagnostics, with validated assays already in clinical and commercial use, in both vaginal and gut microbiome applications. Our strength is the design and operation of targeted microbial quantification panels: we define the taxa and microbial functions worth measuring together with our partners, build the assay around them and run it at the throughput and reproducibility a clinical study needs.
For CARE-02, we offer the microbial measurement layer of a pharmacomicrobiomics consortium. Gut microbes metabolise many drugs and the activity usually sits in specific species and strains. Two patients with the same genus profile can handle a drug very differently depending on which species are present, so a patient-level ADR stratification requires measurement at that resolution. REM’s tests are designed to distinguish closely related species in a single assay, delivering data a pharmacology or AI partner can act on.
We are looking to join a CARE-02 consortium where the microbiome represents a determinant of drug response alongside host genetics and clinical factors. Our role would be to design and run the microbial measurement component across the consortium’s cohorts, delivering results that integrate with host and clinical data. REM has been a partner in several Horizon Europe projects and welcomes consortium discussions.
