AI-Based Biomedical Knowledge Extraction for Target and Mechanism Discovery
Group Leader at Fondazione The Microsoft Research -University of Trento Centre for Computational and Systems Biology
Rovereto, Italy
About
COSBI uses biomedical natural language processing to extract structured and traceable knowledge from scientific literature, clinical-trial sources and selected databases. Our workflows identify and normalize genes, variants, diseases, drugs, chemicals, pathways, biomarkers and mechanistic relationships, then organize the evidence into decision-ready knowledge assets. Applications include target discovery, mechanism elucidation, causal evidence mapping, competitive intelligence and hypothesis generation. Deliverables can include curated evidence tables, mechanism maps, ranked target shortlists, structured knowledge bases and interactive network visualizations or dashboards, with links to the underlying sources. We are looking for R&D teams that need to scale evidence synthesis beyond manual review while preserving biological interpretation and traceability.
