About
The Department of Internal Medicine at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) seeks to join Horizon Europe consortia developing and clinically validating innovative portable point-of-care diagnostic technologies.
As Lithuania's largest internal medicine clinical center, with more than 200 inpatient beds, our department offers a diverse clinical environment and access to substantial patient populations with cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, and multiple chronic conditions.
Our academic team includes three professors, three associate professors, ten researchers holding doctoral degrees, and four doctoral candidates, combining extensive clinical expertise with strong academic research and R&D capabilities.
We can contribute to clinical needs assessment, study protocol development, patient recruitment, comparative diagnostic performance studies, usability assessment, and real-world clinical validation of emerging point-of-care technologies.
We welcome partnerships with academic institutions, biomedical engineering groups, and medical technology companies seeking a scientifically capable clinical partner for the development, evaluation, and translation of innovative diagnostic solutions into routine healthcare practice.
