About
The Department of Internal Medicine at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) seeks to join Horizon Europe consortia developing and evaluating innovative healthcare interventions for non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
As Lithuania's largest internal medicine clinical center, with more than 200 inpatient beds, our department provides access to extensive and diverse patient populations, particularly those with cardiovascular, pulmonary, and gastrointestinal diseases, including complex multimorbidity.
Our academic team comprises three professors, three associate professors, ten researchers holding doctoral degrees, and four doctoral candidates, providing substantial scientific and R&D expertise.
We offer opportunities for collaborative research, clinical study design, patient recruitment, evaluation of innovative therapeutic and disease management strategies, and clinical validation. We welcome partnerships with established consortia seeking an academically strong clinical research partner capable of contributing to both scientific development and real-world implementation.
