Associate Professor, Department of Internal Medicine at Lithuanian university of health sciences

Kaunas, Lithuania

About

The Department of Internal Medicine at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) seeks partnerships within Horizon Europe consortia developing and validating AI-driven predictive biomarkers of disease progression and treatment response in chronic non-communicable diseases.

As Lithuania's largest internal medicine clinical center, with more than 200 inpatient beds, our department provides a valuable clinical environment for research involving cardiovascular, pulmonary, and gastrointestinal diseases.

Our academic team comprises three professors, three associate professors, 10 researchers with doctoral degrees, and four doctoral candidates, providing substantial scientific expertise and capacity for clinical and translational research.

We can contribute to clinical study design, patient phenotyping, biomarker identification and evaluation, longitudinal data collection, and clinical validation of AI-based predictive models, subject to applicable data governance requirements.

We particularly welcome collaboration with AI developers, bioinformatics specialists, and biomedical research institutions seeking a strong academic and clinical partner to translate predictive biomarkers into clinically meaningful, personalized healthcare applications.
