NGO Partner for Community-Based Health Research, Disability Inclusion and Youth Prevention

The Alliance of NGOs for Drugs and Addictions is a Slovenian umbrella organisation bringing together 14 member NGOs and 2 associate members working across prevention, harm reduction, addiction treatment, community outreach, mental health and social inclusion.

We are seeking to join a Horizon Europe consortium as a project partner, particularly in the following calls:

HORIZON-HLTH-2027-01-STAYHLTH-01 – Addressing disabilities through the life course

We are interested in projects promoting independent living, social inclusion and accessible community-based services for people with disabilities, particularly where substance use, mental health challenges, homelessness and other forms of social vulnerability intersect.

HORIZON-HLTH-2027-01-DISEASE-10 – Prevention and management of chronic non-communicable diseases in children and young people (GACD)

We are interested in implementation research on evidence-based interventions addressing substance use, mental health and other health-related risk factors, particularly among underserved adolescents and young adults.

What we can contribute:

• Community engagement: Connections with frontline NGOs working with vulnerable and underserved populations.

• Implementation and evaluation: Support for adapting, implementing and evaluating evidence-based interventions in real-world community settings, in collaboration with our member organisations.

• Participatory approaches: Involvement of service users and people with lived experience in research and intervention design.

• Policy and stakeholder engagement: Established cooperation with Slovenian public health institutions, policymakers and civil society.

• Dissemination and impact: Translating research findings into practical recommendations, advocacy and improvements in services.

We welcome collaboration with universities, research institutes, public health agencies and service providers developing proposals with strong community-based, participatory and implementation research components.

Cooperation sought: Consortium membership as an NGO partner, contributing practical expertise, stakeholder engagement and potential implementation settings in Slovenia.
