Biomaterials partner for Horizon Europe Cluster Health consortia: polymers, nanomaterials and nanocomposites
Associate Professor at Loughborough University, UK
Loughborough, United Kingdom
About
I am looking to join consortia that need materials expertise to turn biomedical ideas into working solutions. My group at Loughborough University designs and fabricates polymer-based nanomaterials for regenerative medicine, wound care and drug delivery, from concept and fabrication through to characterisation and in vitro testing. My expertise covers:
-
Nanofibrous scaffolds that support cell proliferation and cell encapsulation for tissue engineering
-
Advanced wound dressings incorporating antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and essential-oil-based bioactive agents
-
Stimuli-responsive fibres for controlled, on-demand drug release
-
Tailor-made nanocomposites with tunable surface and mechanical properties, including enhanced strength, controlled wettability and adjustable degradation rates
I can contribute to projects as a work package lead or technical partner, and I welcome contact from clinical, academic and industry partners (including SMEs and medical device companies) working on infection control, chronic wound management, tissue regeneration or targeted therapies.
