About
G. d’Annunzio University of Chieti-Pescara (Italy) is seeking international partners and opportunities to join Horizon Europe Cluster 1 – Health consortia focused on combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and developing innovative therapeutic strategies against drug-resistant infections.
Our research activities focus on the design, synthesis, and characterisation of novel antimicrobial compounds, including bioactive small molecules, natural product derivatives, and polymer-based conjugates.
Particular expertise includes:
-
Medicinal chemistry and optimisation of antimicrobial agents.
-
Development of polymer-based conjugates incorporating bioactive molecules.
-
Design of innovative biomaterials and drug delivery systems for localised antimicrobial therapy.
-
Investigation of antimicrobial activity against clinically relevant drug-resistant pathogens.
-
Development of multifunctional therapeutic approaches combining antimicrobial activity with tissue repair and regeneration.
We are particularly interested in collaborative projects addressing multidrug-resistant bacterial infections, innovative anti-infective therapies, and advanced biomaterials for wound healing and infection management.
We welcome partnerships with universities, research organisations, hospitals, SMEs, and pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies. Our team can contribute to compound design and synthesis, formulation development, physicochemical characterisation, and preclinical research activities.
