Director at BIOMED LAB
Ohrid, North Macedonia
About
BIOMED LAB – Molecular Diagnostics and Laboratory Cooperation
BIOMED LAB is a private molecular diagnostics laboratory established in 2012 and located in Ohrid, North Macedonia.
The laboratory is seeking opportunities to join Horizon Europe Health 2027 research and innovation consortia as a molecular diagnostics, laboratory testing, assay verification or implementation partner.
Existing laboratory capabilities:
-
DNA and RNA extraction
-
Real-time PCR (qPCR) testing
-
Molecular laboratory workflows and sample processing
-
Laboratory quality documentation and method verification activities
Areas of interest for cooperation:
-
Development and evaluation of molecular diagnostic assays
-
qPCR-based biomarkers and infectious disease diagnostics
-
Personalised medicine and pharmacogenomics
-
Point-of-care molecular diagnostic technologies
-
Laboratory evaluation of innovative diagnostic platforms
-
Reproductive genetics and emerging genomic technologies
-
Integration of molecular diagnostics into clinical research
Potential contribution to European projects:
BIOMED LAB can contribute to laboratory feasibility assessments, molecular testing, assay verification, technical documentation and implementation activities within its available capabilities.
Where appropriate, the laboratory can explore cooperation with external clinical partners for sample recruitment and clinical evaluation, subject to applicable ethical and regulatory requirements.
Partnership sought:
We welcome collaboration with universities, research institutions, biotechnology companies, diagnostic developers, hospitals and Horizon Europe project coordinators.
Our preferred role is as a consortium partner contributing specialised molecular laboratory expertise rather than coordinating an entire Horizon Europe project.
